Today was the first ridout for the Panthers, and considering the very short time we have been running, we did well to get 7 bikes.
Thanks to those who attended. I did receive a couple of apologies from folk who wanted to go, but couldn't.
Last night I was told about the Easter Egg run that bikers attend every year, starting at MFR. We were all willing to go, but when we phoned MFR to find out exact times etc, we were told they didn't know - so we decided to continue with our normal plan.
We headed out on the Aberdeen road, and cut down to Grantown on Spey, and then on to Tomintoul for a bacon roll and a cup of coffee. We couldn't have got better weather - and the roads were great. After the run, we decided to go back via Grantown, and the Aviemore crew peeled off and we went our seperate ways. All agreed it had been a good day, and well worth repeating.
We all agreed that we hadn't seen as many bikes on the road for years. We passed hundreds of bikes out for runs, single bikes, 2's and 3's and full packs that we only assume were clubs.
Here's to next time :-)
